Seeds Family, inspired by the enduring spirit of our dear friend Ed Gowdy, strives to create a positive impact on communities through collaborative education and charitable experiences. Our mission is rooted in fostering community development by providing opportunities for growth and engagement in various activities such as music, the arts, outdoor recreation, and community gardening. With a commitment to alleviating the plight of the poor, distressed, and underprivileged, Seeds Family aims to cultivate a sense of togetherness and empowerment.
RECENT GRANTS AND ENGAGEMENT
The Gowdy Garden and Denver Urban Gardens
We teamed up with Denver Urban Gardens to support all plots within the community garden at Goldrick Elementary School over a 3-year period.
Supporting community members
With generous support from Seeds family members, we were able to support a family in need after experiencing a recent loss.
National Sports Center for the Disabled
With help from our community, we were able to donate to the National Sports Center for the Disabled based in Winter Park, CO.
Platte River cleanup with Protect our Rivers
The Seeds Family spent time cleaning up the Platte River with Protect our Rivers, a Colorado-based nonprofit organization that works to make a positive, lasting impact on river conservation.
SHRED 4 ED
Each year, we celebrate Ed's legacy through our flagship event, Shred 4 Ed. This annual gathering brings together Seeds Family members, encompassing anyone passionate about contributing to our cause, for a joyous celebration of skiing and shared experiences. Through Shred 4 Ed and our ongoing initiatives, Seeds Family seeks to sow the seeds of positive change, uniting communities and nurturing a brighter future for all.
